"Well, dude, I don't care about money. But I could just deposite it at the bank, haha. And then, once they enter in the number,no can just go to a machine and withdraw some and use it towards the lost payment from the delivery, make it look legit, but then say. Dang. I am screwed. You got a magic something to keep the boss from being mad at me ?"

This feels like a good moment to end chapter 1.

Before we continue it is also time to upgrade your character to level 1 Wink

I try to keep your actual encounter with rules to a minimum Wink

But lets see what you can handle within one post.

Select two "favorite" attributes from the following six:
Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Wisdom, Intelligence and Charisma.

and then pick a class (which most likely will result in followup questions) from those options:
Fighter
General Magician
Magic Specialist(Real good in one school of magic..not so much in the others)
Thief
Con Artist
Performer
Leader


Note that this will be 1st level..and any magic career does mean fairy training.(Also you could get limited magic training even without picking such a class...but that hardly compares)

Now to round things off, pick a use for 2 additional skill slots (both can be assigned to the same skill)

Athletics and Magic.

Cause need to be athletic for job running to places, and it would also help with chemicals in brain to be focused on doing things. And perhaps learn how to cast spells, (Maybe learn how to shrink bullies to punish them, or grow my toy size friends, to have dine out with me).

I would have picked Knowledge, but he has intelligence, and I haven't done spells before.

Your previous experience with D&D should have told you that things like knowledge get applied to one chosen field.

Luckily for you in this system "all" is a valid option.

The benefit of taking a skill in a specific school of magic doesn't come into play until level 4, so we might as well ignnore the specifics for that Wink

What will come into play before is the side effect of corruption   Smiley

Your taint level will increase when you cast a spell and roll just barely good enough to get the spell to work..but not good enough to avoid the side effect.

And once the taint gets high enough it might effect you when you get into a tempting situation

So pick the sin your character might acquire from the following:
Wraith
Avarice
Sloth
Pride
Lust
Envy
Gluttony

Pride. Because he is proud of his athletic ability, and he will have pride in his petty magic tricks later.

I know Intelligence goes with Magic, though knowledge, I don't remember knowledge in D&D. Then again, we played on 3.5.

In 3.5 Knowledge was int based.

So for your magic..you of course don't know any spells yet, but you have mastered the basics.
This allows you to perform some minor tricks.
Think about all the Wizard 0 levels spells in D&D to get the idea Wink

To cast them there are two options.
1) Slow and save. It requires you to chant for several minutes but you can be sure that the magic will work. And a roll of 7 on 3d6 will be enough to avoid any corruption
2)Quick and dirty. It does it thing almost immediately, but it requires a roll of 7 on 3d6 to do anything at all and at least a 12 to avoid corrupting side effects.

Of course corruption is nothing to worry about at this stage

I did the work to include a die roll on the board for that.
So it's just putting 3d6 in brackets like so:
